Upgrading and Maintaining a 60-Camera CCTV System in Ilkeston

October 8, 2026

Our latest project got off to a bright start, with clear skies and calm conditions as our engineers arrived on site to begin routine maintenance and a planned upgrade of a 60-camera CCTV installation for one of our clients in Ilkeston.

Making the most of the weather

Good weather makes a real difference on external work. Without wind and rain to contend with, our team can work safely at height, take the time needed to inspect every component properly, and complete the outdoor phase of the project efficiently. That matters on a system of this size, where each camera position needs individual attention.

More than a clean

Regular maintenance is about far more than keeping lenses clear. On this visit our engineers are:

  • Cleaning every camera to restore image clarity, which can gradually degrade through dirt, weather and general build-up.
  • Inspecting cabling and connections for corrosion, one of the most common causes of intermittent faults and signal loss in external installations. Catching it early prevents failures at the moment footage is needed most.
  • Replacing legacy units with modern equipment, giving the client improved image quality and greater reliability.
  • Expanding the system with additional cameras to extend coverage where the client needs it.

This combination of preventative maintenance and targeted upgrades keeps the system performing at its best and protects the client’s long-term investment, rather than leaving them to deal with problems after they arise.

Working around the business, not the other way round

A security system upgrade should never disrupt the business it protects. We are working closely with the client’s IT management and maintenance teams to plan each stage carefully, so that any downtime is kept to an absolute minimum and the site remains protected throughout.

Our engineers schedule their work around the client’s normal operating routines, keep work areas safe and clearly managed, and make sure staff can carry on with their day without unnecessary hazards or inconvenience.

Looking after your system

Whether you have a handful of cameras or a large multi-site installation, regular maintenance and timely upgrades are the best way to keep your security reliable.
